Comments: Nazi Germany invaded Denmark in April 1940 and since the Danes did not resist they said they had not been defeated. Meanwhile Danes outside the country flocked to the Allies, 5,000 Danish seamen bringing in 90% of Denmark's tonnage (800,000 tons) into friendly Allied ports. This poster commemorates the solidarity of those 5000 Danish seamen with the nations united against the Axis powers by showing a  Danish captain against the background of the Danish flag and the statements about their loyalty to the Allied cause..
