1874 Winslow Homer Wood Engraving

"Waiting For A Bite"

A lazy, hazy day of summer finds the boys down at the local fish pond eagerly waiting for a bite in this great Winslow Homer wood engraving published in 1874. The print is a full sheet with nice borders and is in excellent condition.

Philip Beam in his book on Winslow Homer's wood engraving counts this print among Homer's "masterpieces of his work in the engraving field" and part of the "children's series" that was brought to a climax in the mid 1870s.

It will come to you matted as shown below to a 16 x 20 inch frame size and enclosed in a protective plastic sleeve.
