"Statue of Colonel Thomas Knowlton Ceremonies At The Unveiling"

This 53 page book is in nice condition with a cloth green cover and no library or other marks on the excellent interior of the book. Colonel Thomas Knowlton was a true hero, playing a critical role at the Battle of Bunker Hill (he is pictured in John Trumbull's famous painting of the battle) and losing his life in the New York campaign as the head of Knowlton's Rangers. The loss of his life was noted with regret by General George Washington.

The book contains speeches on Knowlton by author and editor Charles Dudley Warner, Governor O. Vincent Coffin and P. Henry Woodward and information on the sculptor Enoch S. Woods by Charles Noel Flagg.
